Here is how i attempted to boot the pre-built image (posted to nextcloud) on Google Cloud Platform:
-
Rename the image to disk.raw and compress as .tar.gz. (GCP will not accept uncompressed raw images and assumes the archive contains an image file named disk.raw)
-
Put it in a bucket:
gcloud storage buckets create gs://cvm-images-poetic
gcloud storage cp guix-entropy-tss-image-0.tar.gz gs://cvm-images-poetic
- Create an 'image' from the image file:
gcloud compute images create guix-entropy-tss-image-0 --source-uri gs://cvm-images-poetic/guix-entropy-tss-image-0.tar.gz --guest-os-features=UEFI_COMPATIBLE,VIRTIO_SCSI_MULTIQUEUE,GVNIC,TDX_CAPABLE
- Create an 'instance' using the image:
gcloud compute instances create guix-entropy-tss-image-0 --network=default --confidential-compute-type=TDX --machine-type=c3-standard-4 --maintenance-policy=TERMINATE --image guix-entropy-tss-image-0 --zone=europe-west4-b --metadata serial-port-enable=TRUE
Check the serial output logs using the GCP web interface:

I think the video-related errors are not an issue and can be safely ignored. The strange characters are from the grub splash screen which the serial port logging does not present nicely.
