Spaceport Core Experience — Station Worlds, Media Memory, and Emergent AI Preservation #13

Background

This issue records the deeper Spaceport concept that emerged from recent planning discussions. It should not be lost or reduced into a normal website/task list.

Spaceport is not only a homepage, not a SaaS dashboard, and not a conventional portfolio archive. It should behave like a continuously evolving digital port where different spatial experiences, app-like stations, research labs, archives, and media experiments can be entered as distinct worlds.

The intended feeling is closer to opening a carefully designed game console hub, a 3DS/Wii/old Xbox-era system interface, or a playful web arcade page where each entry has its own identity and invites exploration. But the aesthetic should not be retro for nostalgia's sake. It should be a future-facing, polished, concise, Apple-level spatial interface that preserves the excitement, personality, and designed friction of older interactive systems.

Core principle

Each Station should feel like a complete experience, almost like a small game or spatial app.

A Station is not just a card linking to a page. It should have:

  • its own logo / typography / visual identity
  • its own color system
  • its own entry animation or spatial transition
  • its own minimal but complete interface logic
  • its own archive / interaction / demo / research layer
  • a clear reason why this experience exists inside Spaceport

Spaceport itself becomes the port, transfer hub, and index layer connecting all Stations.

Naming correction

The museum Station name is MOVA — Museum of Virtual Arts.

Do not use VOFV. MOVA is the canonical name for the museum Station.

MOVA should feel like an institutional yet living digital arts museum, closer to an evolving archive / exhibition / publication / residency system than a generic 3D virtual gallery.

Required first-wave Stations

The first wave must include at least:

1. Tea House in the Woods / 林中茶屋

A poetic, quiet, forest-based spatial experience.

It should connect to earlier Virtura ideas around digital tea house, natural memory, calm interaction, spatial atmosphere, and online/offline gathering.

Possible traits:

  • forest interface
  • tea house as meeting point
  • slow interaction
  • sound / text / image atmosphere
  • a digital room that can host conversations, small archives, and intimate experiences

2. Space Balloon / 太空气球

A floating capsule / balloon / spatial transport Station.

This should inherit the Spaceport feeling of floating, transfer, observation, and temporary residence.

Possible traits:

  • floating balloon vessel
  • observation deck
  • airborne spatial archive
  • poetic navigation
  • can act as an entry to temporary exhibitions or travel-like experiences

3. FSpace

A flexible spatial experiment Station.

FSpace can operate as a sandbox for future spatial-computing demos, small web interactions, Vision Pro-inspired prototypes, and experimental layout systems.

Possible traits:

  • abstract spatial sandbox
  • test chamber
  • modular experiment panels
  • proof-of-concept demos
  • interface experiments

4. MOVA / Museum of Virtual Arts

The museum Station should not be a static virtual museum page.

It should be a self-contained museum experience where artists, archives, works, exhibitions, residencies, research notes, and publications can be entered through a clean, game-like spatial interface.

Possible traits:

  • artist self-registration
  • archive room
  • exhibition room
  • publication / text room
  • residency layer
  • work metadata
  • image / video / sound / 3D asset support
  • long-term artist residence and archive layer
  • living museum logic rather than static 3D gallery logic

Visual and UX ambition

Spaceport should produce the feeling of:

  • a polished app-like interface
  • a future media terminal
  • an online spatial port
  • a playful but disciplined interaction system
  • a web experience that suggests Vision Pro / spatial computing logic without requiring advanced hardware

It should not feel like:

  • Notion
  • GitHub
  • generic SaaS
  • a normal studio homepage
  • a flat portfolio grid
  • empty cyberpunk UI
  • generic metaverse imagery

Design references / analogies

Use these as conceptual references, not direct visual copying:

  • Apple Vision Pro app logic: clarity, space, glass, depth, calm hierarchy
  • older game console systems: Wii, 3DS, early Xbox, PlayStation-era hubs, where interface identity itself felt memorable
  • 4399-like web arcade logic: many distinct entrances, each with strong curiosity and a unique world
  • Splatoon-like spatial street/block logic: lively fictional districts, small signals, broadcasts, posters, panels, ambient activity
  • Behance-style polished project presentation, but upgraded into a living system rather than a finished single work
  • airport / harbor / terminal / transfer station logic: each port connects to another media form, platform, or experience

Why this matters

A major reason for Spaceport is preservation.

Many exhibitions, spatial works, console systems, web experiences, and interface designs only exist in a specific era or venue. When the venue disappears, the system updates, or the exhibition ends, the experience is often lost.

Spaceport should preserve not only finished works, but also:

  • spatial atmosphere
  • interface logic
  • temporary exhibition structures
  • AI-generated emergent scenes
  • fictional signage and broadcast systems
  • project mistakes and lessons
  • prototypes that otherwise vanish
  • design directions that may later evolve into real products or exhibitions

AI emergence and preservation

One important function of the Research Lab and Knowledge Network is to capture emergent AI-generated design states.

Example:

When AI helps generate a speculative architectural interface, street broadcast board, roadside studio, live program schedule, fictional spatial district, or immersive exhibition concept, many outputs may be partially meaningless but still contain valuable worldbuilding structure.

Spaceport should capture this emergence:

  1. generate speculative interface / scene / station concepts
  2. identify useful visual, behavioral, and narrative patterns
  3. save them as project notes, references, issues, or Station prototypes
  4. preserve them inside the Knowledge Network
  5. allow them to evolve into future Stations, demos, labs, or client-facing experience patterns

This is a key difference from ordinary AI image generation. The goal is not only to make images, but to preserve and evolve the spatial logic discovered during the process.

Research Lab function

Research Lab should have real function, not only decoration.

Possible functions:

  • collect project mistakes and design rules
  • preserve AI-generated emergent spatial ideas
  • track spatial computing cases
  • track Vision Pro / web / game-like interface patterns
  • maintain prompt packs and image-to-experience workflows
  • convert discussions into GitHub issues
  • connect prototype outputs back into Station development

Interface strategy

The opening interface should work like a port map or bento-style station board.

Potential layout:

  • main Spaceport identity area
  • Station grid / bento map
  • active signals / broadcasts
  • research lab status
  • recent archive arrivals
  • featured experience
  • entry points for desktop / mobile / spatial mode

Each tile should not look like a generic card. It should look like a small port, dock, capsule, room, lab, or app-world.

Image generation / visual prompt requirement

The next design stage should generate multiple GPT Image / image2 concept images:

  • Spaceport main port map
  • Station bento overview
  • Tea House in the Woods identity sheet
  • Space Balloon identity sheet
  • FSpace identity sheet
  • MOVA Museum of Virtual Arts identity sheet
  • Research Lab interface
  • Knowledge Network memory capture diagram
  • media transfer diagram: text → image → video → spatial scene → web/app/exhibition/archive

Each image should be able to explain one concept clearly, like a polished product-design board or one-page Apple-style update graphic.

Acceptance criteria

  • Define Station design rules
  • Define first-wave Station list
  • Create visual prompt pack for each Station
  • Create Spaceport homepage UX flow
  • Create bento / port-map wireframe
  • Define Research Lab and Knowledge Network data flow
  • Define how AI emergent states become saved issues / references / prototypes
  • Preserve the game-console / arcade / spatial hub feeling without becoming retro or messy
  • Keep the final style concise, polished, and advanced
  • Ensure all future museum references use MOVA, not VOFV
