Environment
- App version: v3.05
- macOS: 26.4.1
- macOS build: 25E253
- Device: MacBook Pro (M1)
- Memory: 16 GB
Summary
After reformatting an external NTFS drive named New Volume to ExFAT and renaming it, Stats continued to show the old volume name until the app was completely restarted. After restarting Stats, the renamed volume appeared correctly, but the disk usage chart/stats remained
empty and displayed as a flat straight line.
Steps To Reproduce
- Connect an external drive formatted as NTFS.
- The drive is initially named
New Volume.
- Open Stats v3.05 and observe the disk entry for the external drive.
- Format the external drive as ExFAT using macOS Disk Utility.
- Rename the reformatted ExFAT volume.
- Observe Stats without restarting the app.
- Completely quit/restart Stats.
- Observe the disk widget again.
Current Behavior
Before restarting Stats, the app continued showing the old drive name, New Volume, even though the drive had been reformatted to ExFAT and renamed in macOS.
After completely restarting Stats, the app showed the renamed volume, but the disk usage data was empty. The graph displayed as a straight/flat line instead of showing actual disk usage.
