Report: 404 on all search calls

The prompts.chat API is returning 404 on all search calls — meaning their backend API is broken or not yet live, even though the MCP server itself starts fine. This explains the original errors too.

Bottom line: prompts.chat's MCP integration is not functional right now — either their API is down, broken, or still in development. The server starts but can't actually fetch any prompts.

Am using in Claude Code VS Code extension....Found the issue. The plugin's bundled config hits https://prompts.chat/api/mcp with no authentication headers — it's an anonymous request. That endpoint apparently requires you to be authenticated, even if the API is "free". The Authenticate button is supposed to set that up, but their auth flow returns non-JSON (broken on their end).

The situation: The skills (prompts.chat:prompts, etc.) are loaded from the plugin's local files, but calling them will fail when they try to hit the MCP endpoint — because the connection is unauthenticated and rejected.
