SDR as rx

Is there a way to configure QLog so that I can synchronize the radio and the SDR program together? I haven’t found any option for this. Did I miss something in the settings, or is it simply not possible? Sorry if the question sounds a bit silly.

QLog doesn't natively have any SDR synchronization built in. What SDR App are you using? QLog does have the ability to broadcast its frequency using UDP so depending on the SDR App you may could consume that. I use that to send the frequency for a Steppir control application: https://github.com/foldynl/QLog/wiki/Notifications

Thank you very much for the reply. I use Gqrx, and I can connect it to QLog with Hamlib over TCP.

If you have a radio and sdr receiver you are wanting to sync you may want to look at rigctlsync it's part of hamlib. You can do something like this:

Start the master rigctld

rigctld -m 3073 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -t 4532 &

Start the slave rigctld

rigctld -m 229 -r /dev/ttyUSB1 -t 4534 &

Wait for a moment to ensure the daemons are running

sleep 2

Start rigctlsync to link the two daemons

rigctlsync -m 2 -r localhost:4532 -R localhost:4533

You can add clean-up commands for when the script is stopped

killall rigctld
