Understand the options for saving tags to the database

I'm trying to understand the various options for salting tags on the database, while some seem clear, others behave differently than I thought, evidently I didn't fully understand how they work.

• Registration enabled: Of course, it enables or disables tag recording. It works as expected.
• Save if changed: Save the data if different from the previous one, but it seems to ignore the set time interval.
• To restore: I don't think I understand what it's for
• Save value interval: Set a time interval in seconds for saving data, it seems that Save if changed and To restore ignore it
• Format digits: Indicate how many decimal places should be maintained (1=0.0, 2=0.00 etc.) What if I don't want any decimal places? Setting 0 doesn't work.
• Deadband: Sets the threshold within which the If changed option is not activated. For example, if I set it to 1, the value is only recorded if <> than 1.
• Scale mode / conversion: Allows you to select a method to scale or convert the data
• Read / Write scale script: Allows you to select a script to run during the read/write phase

This is what I think I've understood. I must admit that this software is comprehensive and very well-made. Unfortunately, the documentation is lacking, and some features are left to interpretation based on user experience. That's why I wanted to frame the question this way so it can also be useful to those looking for the usual information.
