Spook causing +100% cpu and freezing HA for a couple of seconds

The problem

I've found that with spook enabled, under HAOS, the homeassistant docker container goes to 100% every 10-15 seconds, this actually appears to freeze home assistant, for example the SSH terminal stops accepting keyboard input, of docker stats stops updating the display.

This lasts for a couple of seconds, the CPU goes back to normal, then 10-15 seconds later, same again.....

I'm running this in Proxmox, on a 3.4ghz 6-core xeon, utilising 2 host cores for HA, and allocated 32Gb ram, and a M4 disk.

The system should be more than capable of running HA & Spook - this really is annoying as I LOVE the spook functionality - maybe this needs migrating to it's own docker container (if possible) with limits on CPU usage.

I had to confirm this type of problem — I was increasingly struggling with delays in light scenes and charts. My initial attempts at MariaDB optimization and MQTT ACL rules were mostly heading in the wrong direction. Integrating the profiler finally pointed me the right way: disabling Spook solved it. My system is quite large: 3.500 entities, 80 Zigbee Devices (including noisy ones), 125 MQTT-Devices
