It seems likely that is becoming the primary focus for JS/TS environments (like JupyterLab extensions or Deno notebooks), especially if the Python library has slowed down. However, for standard Python kernels in Jupyter, the Python library is usually still the go-to. If you're building a Jupyter widget or extension, then yes, is the way forward. |

Is https://frictionlessdata.github.io/frictionless-ts/ going to be the preferred method of working with frictionlessdata within Jupyter Notebooks? It looks as though the Python module alone no longer receives updates as of 2026.
