How do I enable some of the new features in the 0.0.14 release?

I don't see any new env variables nor any UI options.

Both of those are enabled automatically, no configuration necessary. Just make sure your container is actually updated to 0.0.14. See https://koito.mnrva.dev/ (public demo instance with my listening data) as an example of what it should look like, with "Koito v0.0.14" at the footer.

Thanks, I see the first listened to dates, but where does the Now Playing thing reside?

It goes on the top of the "Last Plays" section of the home page.

Note that if you start playing a song and still don't see it, it's possible that your music player does not properly scrobble "playing_now" events back to your music server, or maybe that your music server doesn't properly scrobble back those events to Koito. My setup is Navidrome as the server and Feishin/Symphonium as the clients, so that's what you can see working on my public instance.

thanks. looks like Apple Music doesn't have a "Now Playing" API endpoint like Spotify. Oh well.
