Clicks not registering on mac

I just followed the build instructions for mac. Builds fine, runs fine. But when I click nothing happens. I have to click over and over until something happens (menus, buttons, etc). Happy to do anything other diagnostics ...

This is what I did fyi:

git clone https://github.com/ggerganov/imtui --recursive
cd imtui
mkdir build && cd build
cmake ..
make

./bin/imtui-example-ncurses0
