[BUG] Can't select point with Vulkan backend

I'm sorry, not sure if this goes to Vulkan backend report or here.
When I tried Vulkan, looks like lines are narrower and points are actually not visible (or just 1px wide), so unselectable from viewport.

What platform are you running on?

@ra100 Thanks for posting this bug report. I couldn't work out where the point handles had gone. I had actually forgotten that I had switched to the Vulkan backend.

Platform

• CADSketcher 0.27.5
• Blender 4.4.3 (I also tried reverting to 4.4.0)
• OS Linux 6.11.0-26-generic #26~24.04.1-Ubuntu

Hi @ra100,

For the record, I'm also new to the CAD_Sketcher code base, and I am not a maintainer.

However, taking a closer look I am wondering if there might be a problem with the id_shader_3d under Vulkan:

• Shaders.id_shader_3d

This shader is used when creating the selection points. I have not confirmed this yet, but it seems like a reasonable line of investigation. It is also a straightforward shader, but maybe there is something simple that is affecting it under Vulkan, or maybe I've just got the wrong end of the stick 🙂

On closer inspection, it seems like the shader itself might be fine. But rather the control of the point size is a problem. The result is that the point handles are now 1 x 1 pixels which are difficult to see and pick. This is also affecting the sketch lines, but they are then easier to see.

Interesting, so maybe change in shaders used?

The script need to use the point shaders to draw points.

I've tried something, not sure how good the approach is, Claude-4 did the heavy lifting.
