Unable to use proxy with Hoppscotch desktop app

Hi there, I'm trying to use the hoppscotch proxy from within the macOS desktop app. It's the basic minimal setup of proxy using docker-compose. The proxy works perfectly with self-hosted hoppscotch from browser. But when I try it from the macOS desktop app, I get the following in proxy logs:

ERROR: 2025/11/14 13:13:59 proxy.go:420: Denied access to 172.18.0.5:51614 from disallowed origin:

The env variables of proxy docker container are left with the default values.

I get the same error. Looking at the request from the desktop app shows that desktop app is only setting referrer header and no origin header.
There is an issue under the hoppscotch repo for this as well.
