Refactor frontend build

The frontend generation is currently quite old; speaking of the used node image (v14) and the generation of code.

Tasks

• Node :: Upgrade the latest supported node version
• (S)CSS :: Refactor it ... may use only css with css variables
• Javascript :: Have a look and check for simplifcation and optimization
