Presently, we include a lot of custom handling to support tabs split-view (or grid-view) in different browsers. Recently, Firefox and Chrome also added support for the same. A lot of custom behavior was due to API compatibility issues with MS Edge.
Investigate if we still need the custom implementation we've or the browser status has improved that we can seamlessly support these tabs UIs.
