Corrupt install of extension into Visual Studio 2022 Community on WIndows 11 Pro

I tried to install this extension into the version of VS listed below from the Extension Marketplace. After restarting VS, it could no longer edit .ps1 files. Instead, I see the error shown after the version data. VS acts like PowerShell Pro Tools isn't installed.

Note the version data was retrieved just now. I don't have this from before I attempted to install the new extension.

Any ideas what's going on? I can't even uninstall it as VS thinks it's not installed.
