Thank you for the suggestion. I don’t use LUKS2 myself, so I appreciate you pointing this out. I’m guessing the issue is that Imprint’s partition selection list in the GUI doesn’t show the unlocked LUKS volumes. Once unlocked in the live KDE environment, they usually appear under /dev/mapper/*, but the GUI currently doesn’t scan that path. The command‑line version I’m working on should sidestep this entirely, since you can specify any block device directly (including /dev/mapper/cryptroot or similar) as the backup source. Thanks! |

Hi Camis. I spent some time working with the GUI and now backup and restore both work on LUKS and LVM volumes. At least they work on my system. I would appreciate any feedback if you have a chance to try out the new release. The release is at https://github.com/jalongx/imprint/releases/tag/v0.9.45. |

All my drives are encrypted with LUKS2, so it would be good if the program could back them up. Of course, this would be done through the KDE live version, and after entering the password for the volumes.
