Hey @superuser-does - this is a similar request to a conversation I had about Miniflux #1749 (reply in thread). Unlike Miniflux, I don't believe the FreshRSS Google Reader API exposes an endpoint to force a refetch from the client. Capy Reader and other apps I've seen rely on the server to fetch from the feeds on their own interval. Is this a server you own? If so, is FreshRSS' cron-based refresh an option? |

I have a FreshRSS server set up with manual updates (no auto-refresh of feeds).
Capy Reader's refresh functionality (either in the left bar or pull-down) syncs with the server, but does not fetch from the feeds themselves.
This is peculiar to the default setup of FreshRSS and I cannot speak for other servers, but it feels like there is a gap where a user would have to go to the web frontend to get new feeds, and then refresh Capy Reader again to pull them into the app.
