Hey @daryllstrauss, thanks for trying it out! Really cool that it works on ChromeOS. Which version of the app are you running? You can find this in the app under Settings > About. I'm tracking a few FreshRSS bugs from v2026.03.1199 (#1858) and your unread bug might also be related. The latest version should fix it if so. |

I was running 2026.03.1199 and I just updated to 2026.03.1201.
When I refreshed the list it synced and reduced the count to exactly what I
see in my freshrss browser. I tried reading using capy and freshrss and
they synced perfectly.
I think you fixed the bug.
Thanks

I just started using Capy Reader and I really like the user interface. I use it on a ChromeOS tablet and the wide display with gestures (left/right to go next/back) works really nicely.
When I first connected it to my home FreshRSS server, it did great finding all my subscriptions and showing me my unread messages. FreshRSS is set up to regularly fetch the feeds and that works nicely.
The next day I went into my office and used FreshRSS from my desktop using the web interface. I read all the available articles.
When I finished the day I went back to my tablet. It still showed the same number of unread messages from before going into the office. It didn't seem to sync the messages from freshRSS.
I tried a doing the refresh in Capy Reader. I tried removing local copies of messages. Nothing seemed to sync the messages with FreshRSS.
I'm not sure if this is operator error or if there's something else going on. I hope I can use Capy Reader on my mobile devices and FreshRSS web for desktop without seeing duplicates.
Thanks
