Horizontal Nav now available

Horizontal navigation is now available as of 2025.01.1100-dev. I'm releasing it as a dev build to work out any kinks, so let me know if you run into any crashes.

@jocmp it looks like this might have disabled horizontal scrolling completely?

This is especially noticible when a feed includes <pre> elements. I noticed it first with a couple of code examples in feeds I follow. There are even some Gemini-based feeds where the content is meant to be a fixed number of characters wide that mark the entire content as a block, making it unreadable in Capy Reader.

Examples:

• The latest entry “C SBOMs, and how pkgconf can solve this problem” on https://ariadne.space/feed.xml
• The second last entry “USS Corellia - Log Mission 76291” on https://cosmic.voyage/atom.xml

Could side scrolling be enabled again for text blocks like these? Alternatively, can the horizontal swiping be added to the gestures so it can be disabled? (I still use the gestures settings to make swipe up go to the next article.)

Thanks for the examples @tw-martijn, and sorry for the bug. This is a direct consequence of the horizontal scroll. Let me see what I can do to fix it. I may be able to either wrap pre columns (less ideal) or remove the horizontal scroll overflow in favor of full-width tables (this is what Inoreader does as an example). I'll follow up here once a patch is up!

I have a fix for this in 2025.02.1103. I added an option under Settings > Gestures > "Enable horizontal scroll."

When this is toggled off scroll will be disabled and <pre> tags are scrollable. When it's toggled on, pre tags will wrap to avoid unscrollable content.
