Added. Go to /etc/AIS-catcher/control.json and add your certificate/key, set https to true and restart AIS-catcher-control

   "key_file":"/etc/AIS-catcher/ssl/key.pem"
}

I have tested with self-signed certificates:

sudo openssl req -x509 -newkey rsa:2048 -nodes   -keyout /etc/AIS-catcher/ssl/key.pem   -out /etc/AIS-catcher/ssl/cert.pem   -days 365   -subj "/CN=localhost"

Obviously this will give a warning in the browser, so you might have to set up your own local CA to get rid of these warnings.

i did create an new folder "ssl" in /etc/AIS-catcher
was able to generate the key and cert, checked ssl folder and both "pem" files were there.
added above string "https": true, "cert_file etc ,.... in control.json file.
restarted but didn't work.... what did i miss? do i need to build AIS -catcher from source? i did try to update all (AIS-catcher + control)

not sure, "what" did not work, can you be more specific what error you get.

control panel didn't start after adding:

what is the output on the command line when you start? are you running in docker?
