Applications and settings popup are blurry in macOS Tahoe 26.0

The new macOS Tahoe 26.0 seems to have introduced a regression with the DPI configuration of OpenWebStart, where all apps — alongside the Settings pop-up — appear to be significantly blurrier than native macOS views. It is difficult to display this with a screenshot, so I have placed the homepage of this repository alongside the Settings pop-up to highlight the regression:

This does not make OpenWebStart applications unable to use, but it is undoubtedly more than an annoyance, as certain lower font size text blocks become almost impossible to read.

I am using a 16-inch MacBook Pro (with Apple M4 Pro chip) with a "Retina XDR Display" (3456x2234 dimensions). I also have am LG 4K external display (3840x2160 dimensions) where the same issue also occurs.

Please let me know if I should share any more details about my system configuration and/or any log outputs.

Please add the above JVM arg in your Jnlp file.

Thanks for the help; unfortunately, this did not fix the issue. Both the OpenWebStart settings and the application I launch from the (now modified) JNLP file are still blurry.

Btw, which JVM version is used to start the Jnlp app?

Seems like an issue with Java on MacOS Tahoe. Is it possible for you to run any Swing program using the java command?

The JVM used for 1.8.0_462-b08 (JavaFX). And the application I am using is Swing-based, though we do not run it from the command line, only via web start.

Yes but do you see the same behavior for any other Swing application by running it from the command line?
