Failing to add gifs to the collecton.media when importing the deck

The media is not getting added to collection.media folder after I import the deck

Expected behavior
I have read the readme and various issues but am not connecting things in order to get this to work. It is supposed to put the gif files into the collection.media so that when you review the card you can see the gif.
Actual behavior
It functions if I copy the files to the collection.media folder, but without doing that the gif files don't display.

0.13.1
Additional context
thanks for looking, I have spent more time than I care to admit trying to get this working and appreciate the efforts to make this tool. Hopefully it is something simple like change this one line.
