[Feature request] Allow selection of BaseUI/Radix for ShadCN

Hi,

Since ShadCN now allows you to select between BaseUI and Radix for their headless components, are there any plans to include this in the admin kit as well? Seems like BaseUI will be better maintained, which will probably make it the default option for any ShadCN project moving forward.

Thank you for your question and your interest to this project!
The shadcn documentation doesn't mention Base UI yet, so it's probably premature at this point.
We will of course consider moving to Base UI or offering the choice if and when it becomes the default option for shadcn components. So stay tuned!

Start with a component library. Choose between Radix or Base UI.

We rebuilt every component for Base UI, keeping the same abstraction. They are fully compatible with your existing components, even those pulled from remote registries.

When you pull down components, we auto-detect your library and apply the right transformations.

Yes, it is in the changelog, but nowhere else. Again, we'll wait for the shadcn team to fully embrace it (in the docs, in the components, etc) before making it an option for shadcn admin kit.

Just trying to mention that I'm not trying to push a major change like this. I'm just confused regarding what you expect the shadcn team to provide - they have added full support for all their components both for Radix and BaseUI example, I don't think there will be anything extra in the docs, as there is no explicit mention of Radix either. If this is something I could help with, happy to help.

I can precise a bit where Base UI is in Shadcn UI today:

Thanks Olivier for the heads up. My concern is that, in individual components pages (e.g. the chackbox page you linked), the top links (docs + API reference) still point to Radix UI, and the manual installation also only mentions Radix. If I'm using BaseUI, I'm kind of lost...
