Default Report for Comparing Events and Pageviews by Page URL

A customer has requested a report that compares the number of events triggered on a page with the corresponding pageviews within a single report.

"It would be a good enhancement to make pageview metric compatible with action page URL dimension.
The point would be to compare events sent on a page vs the matching pageviews within a single report."

Currently, a custom report using the Page URL dimension combined with Event Category, Action, or Name does not return data because the Event URL dimension, which is required, is not compatible with the Page URL dimension.

Perhaps a section in the Behaviour > Events report similar to the Goals report for PageURLs would be a nice addition.

The Goals by Pages report already offers breakdowns for Page URLs, Entry Pages, and Page Titles.

A similar structure under the Events by Pages report could provide a consolidated view of events and pageviews tied to each Page URL.

Another request from a larger cloud customer to also see more Event data displayed in the default reports, without having to create a Custom Report. "We have some scroll depth events, we're wondering if it's possible to include those in something like the normal Behavior / Pages report, so for each page as well as stuff like pageviews you could also see the values for Scroll_depth 33%, 50% etc."

I've had another customer asking for the better reporting on Events in the default reports in regards to PageURLs. This can be done via a Custom Report but having a default report would nice for users.

"I need to know the pages that these Events are firing on. I am not able to see which pages Events are firing on, I can only see the total number of times an event fires. In order to provide the proper level of analysis to my stakeholders I need to see the Event Names, Page Titles, and Total Events. I cannot figure out how to do this in Matomo, but Google Analytics makes this analysis so easy to do."

A customer using event tracking has expressed a need to see the page URL where each event occurred. While the event data (like category, action, name) is visible in the Behavior > Events report, it lacks context about where on the site these events were triggered and requires the user to create a Custom Report or segment logs to view this information.

A cloud customer would like the ability to view the Page URL where events were triggered directly within the Events report, without needing to pass the URL as an event value.

They’ve noted that this information is already available in the segmented visit logs, but it cannot currently be accessed or combined within the Events report itself.

Exporting logs or relying on segmented visit logs is not a practical long-term solution. Currently creating a Custom Report is the only way to view this information within a report.
