Pyright is still being maintained, just with fewer people. @erictraut was the main contributor to Pyright in the past, but he's no longer doing this full time. The team behind https://github.com/microsoft/pylance-release still uses Pyright under the covers so we need Pyright to continue. Pylance is more interested in being a language server than a type checker though, so type checker problems aren't as a high a priority for us. I'd say Pyright might be shifting focus then? We rely on Eric to maintain the type checker parts of Pyright, but that might not be the focus as much going forward. |

Judging by the commit history and the growing number of issues, it looks as if Pyright isn't actively developed anymore. Is this something I should worry about?
