installing REditorSupport.r vscode extension causes excessive RAM use

### Description

The R extension for VSCode is needed to run R code in Quarto files or R scripts, but when I install into the JupyterHub it takes of 1 Gb of RAM!!

Try installing the extensions and then go to Jupyter Lab to watch the memory.
