uvx for pixi

Would it be possible to run a command/task within a pixi without having to clone the repository? Like uv does with uvx.

This is not what uvx is doing. uvx installs a package into a temporary environment and executes it directly.
Pixi has support for the equivalent with conda packages through pixi exec https://pixi.prefix.dev/latest/reference/cli/pixi/exec/

Indeed, uvx can install from pypi and other sources as well, not just git.
Would it be reasonable for pixi to run commands within pixi environments, similarly?
