Initial observation after installation

I tested the new plugin on two files for now, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me Q2, and Northwest Passage: A Twin Peaks Fanedit. I had to put them in Movies, since it doesn't seem to show up as an option as a Metadata downloader in Shows. Still, I had to use the Identify function with the short name (Twin Peaks,) because a base scan only pulls the cover image, and no synopsis. Then I could choose from all the IFDB titles that showed up. Since IFDB doesn't list actors thumbnails, it didn't pull any of them. I could still write them manually in the local .nfo file. Looking forward to it.

Hi @Eliot-Mess! Appreciate you testing things out as this is my first plugin ever, and my first time working with C#.

At the moment I only implemented Movie and MovieImage providers, so Jellyfin will only make this source available for Movies. I wasn't aware they also tracked TV shows, though in this case it looks like the two you picked are kind of "movies" adapted from shows, so it works, though may make less sense to you if you think of them as shows. I could add a TV provider that works the same way, however it wouldn't currently be able to track episode level details if they exist without significant improvement.

Can you possibly share a screen shot of the search you did and the results that only pulled the cover image and not synopsis? I'd like to try to recreate what you are seeing to see if there is something that I can try to adjust. I personally don't see the synopsis for searching on any of the providers search results and they seem to only show up after selecting to update a movie.

As for actors, this plugin isn't currently even trying to parse those out from the IFDB pages. I'm not seeing them listed on the Fanedit pages being used. If you have a link to a Fanedit page that shows actors, I'll happily look into tweaking the parsing to capture them if available.

Also, a note of use here that I found helpful for me. I created a separate library (and folder) for fanedits and enabled this provider only on that library. It saves IFDB results from coming up for other movies and cluttering the search results there. It also prevents other providers from trying to identify my fanedits and makes it easier to find the right entry.
