Description
The proxy logic only supports HTTP CONNECT, which isn't common (eg tor defaults to just supporting SOCKS, it has a separate config knob for HTTP proxy support as @tankyleo pointed out to me), so would really be nice to have actual SOCKS5 support. Also, its broken right now in that it assumes the entire HTTP CONNECT response will come in a single read call (or at least once we get a partial read the response is complete) which is generally never safe to assume (though it does often work).
