https://serialport.io/docs/ indicates that v12.x.x is the latest release, however v13 was released 6 months ago.
From reading the v13 release notes, I understand that not much has changed API wise so the v12 docs are accurate. However it's confusing: I had to check npmjs.com and the GH releases page before I was sure what was actually the latest stable release.
