imapsync.pl can't lock /var/run/imapsync/imapsync-all.lock

Hi,

i have installed imapsync on my ubuntu server.
root@mail:~# imapsync -v
1.945

But everytime i run imapsync.pl i will get this error
can't lock /var/run/imapsync/imapsync-all.lock at imapsync.pl line 79.

I tried already to change the script like eRJx wrote, but it doens't work for me.
