Add support for PCRE2

On Debian 13 (Trixie) (and newer), the old PCRE implementation is no longer supported, nor packaged.
Alas, the new PCRE2 implementation is not backwards compatible, so code changes are required, which are beyond my expertise.

Please add support for PCRE2.
