Video feed will not fill window or screen anymore

As title says. The current version of both the linux app and the web version of the app no longer fill the screen (in full screen mode) or window. In both modes, you see black bars at top and bottom and the image does not fill the available vertical space.

Sorry, I tested this on Linux and everything seems to be working fine.
Could you please provide a screenshot to help us troubleshoot?

This is in the web app, notice the bars on top and bottom of the video feed. It used to fill the window and there is horizontal space it could use to scale up and fill the window.

And same issue in the 1.1.2 desktop app.

Could you please check the resolution settings for both the remote host and your local monitor?

The issue might be that the remote output is smaller than your screen. For instance, if the remote desktop is sending a 1080p signal and you're viewing it on a 4K monitor, the image will only fill part of the screen, resulting in empty space around the borders.

The monitor is 3440x1440 and the remote host is 1080p. I've been using the setup for months on this hardware and it previously scaled the image and filled the full vertical space in the browser window.

To add to that, when I set both the remote host and the app to 2560x1440 or 4K, I still get the black bars on the top and bottom. It seems like the app has been hard coded to have the black bars no matter what size/resolution you have set.

Here are two examples. The 1.0.1 app fills the window, the 1.1.2 app does not. The output of the remote machine is unchanged between the screenshots, all that changes is the version of the NanoKVM-USB app.

Thanks for your detailed feedback. I've identified the issue.

The browser version is working correctly, so please use that for now.
This will be fixed in the next release of the desktop version.

The browser version at https://usbkvm.sipeed.com/ has the same exact behavior as the desktop app version for me.

Could you try setting the resolution to 4K or 3440x1440 in the browser to see if it works?

The display defaults to the higher value between the browser and the remote host's resolution.

I see the same behavior still in the browser regardless of what resolution I set

the only thing that changes the behavior, is setting it to 1280x720 and doing that shrinks it further.

I've added an 'Auto' option to the scale settings.

Please refresh the web page and switch to this option; the content will then fill the entire screen.
