Clean config for adding a java source files in a skip project?

I have the following dependency tree in an experimental package:

          |--SWRawLogger (transpiled, bridged)
               |--NSLoggerObjC (NSLogger ObjC client)
               | --NSLoggerClient.java (NSLogger android client)
         

NSLoggerClient.java is the source java code for the android NSLogger client, the file is stored in the Skip folder of the SWRawLogger module.

The skip.yml for the SWRawLogger module is as follows

Compiling with skip export --verbose --debug complained that

Type com.NSLogger.NSLoggerClient$LogMessage is defined multiple times'

until we added the following config to skip.yml in both parent modules SWXLogger and SWFuseLogger

# Clear inherited java.srcDir from SWRawLogger to avoid "Type is defined multiple times" error

It works! ...but clunky & brittle. Is there a cleaner way to incorporate java source files?

Could this be Kotlin? If you just drop a .kt file in the Skip/ folder, then it will be automatically built along with the target.

That's good to know for future reference (converting this code to kotlin from java would be too much work/risk for what it's worth)
