Update 2013

This winter, our partners at Vox United returned to Mozambique for another incredible well-restoring expedition. But this time, they traveled with two award-winning photographers to document the stories of lives transformed by clean water. Here is a selection of the work that River to Well is doing, in partnership with Vox United. We couldn't be more proud, thankful or excited to share these images from Patrick Kelley and Eric Kruszewski:

Eric Kruszewski Eric Kruszewski is a Baltimore, Maryland based photographer specializing in editorial photography, photojournalism, reportage and travel. After a 10-year stint in design and construction, he resigned (March 2012) and proverbially followed the passion for photography. He follows his heart and gut and receives the utmost joy photographing people and connecting with others.

Now working globally, Eric has documented such issues as Haiti’s earthquake recovery and water crises in Mozambique. He has received many awards including honors from the International Photo Awards and Travel Photographer of the Year.

Eric's work has been published by National Geographic (online), National Geographic Expeditions, ABC News, The Wall Street Journal, AAA Living, The Huffington Post and Slate, among others. Please check out Eric's incredible work at erickruszewski.com.

The wells reach depths between 25 and 145 feet (8 and 46 meters), thereby requiring manpower and tools to install and repair the equipment. The pump materials are imported; therefore spare parts management and distribution are oftentimes a hurdle in pump rehabilitation.
