Sponsor Introduction
Hi, my name is Chris.
I am a full stack software developer with over 20+ years of professional experience, and a long-standing commitment to building and maintaining open source software. I design systems with a strong focus on reliability, automation, and long-term maintainability.
Alongside my professional work, I maintain several open source projects and supporting infrastructure, including documentation, package repositories, and build pipelines.
One of my most widely used projects is 📢 Apprise, along with its companion Apprise API. Apprise is a unified notification library that enables applications, scripts, and services to send notifications through a consistent interface to more than 120+ supported platforms, including Discord, Slack, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Twilio, email, and many others.
Apprise is used in personal automation, home infrastructure, DevOps workflows, monitoring systems, and commercial environments. It continues to grow as upstream services evolve and new integrations are added.
How Sponsorship Helps
Open source is a core part of my professional identity, but it must coexist with full-time work that covers everyday living expenses. Sponsorship directly enables me to dedicate more focused and predictable time to Apprise and related projects.
Your support helps fund:
- Ongoing maintenance and compatibility updates as upstream services change
- Development of new notification services and major enhancements
- Documentation, testing, and release quality improvements
- Hosting, domain, CI, and distribution costs required to keep the project reliable (https://appriseit.com)
