We live in a time when producing software has become incredibly cheap. You can build almost anything you need to solve your own problems. The project that I am working for is my personal answer to the shortcomings of modern information‑capture tools. I run a home server on a Raspberry Pi where I keep all my notes. I’ve tried plenty of tools — Evernote, Obsidian, and others. They’re great, but I wanted more flexibility for my own workflows. So I built my own. If it ends up useful for someone else, that makes the world a tiny bit better.
I’ve spent 20 years building web products and leading distributed teams. I’ve migrated systems, shipped features, built a house, moved countries twice, started running, and launched projects that failed. All of that shaped how I think about tools, simplicity, and what’s worth building.
