DoneThat's Desktop app is licensed under GPL and not independent of the closed-source backend. This follows a similar strategy to eg Protonmail: Allow inspection of most sensitive code without giving away all IP. We are considering moving to a fully open source strategy in the future. As we're not there yet, we fully understand if you don't want to sponsor us yet!
