Hi, I'm Wess.

I've been writing and giving away code for over fifteen years, from iOS
libraries like Glimpse and Survey to the Rust and TypeScript tools I build now: stohr for self-hosted storage, guise for native UI in Zed's GPUI, asylum for running AI coding agents in parallel, verb, sinclair, ambry. Different languages, same habit. I build the tool I need, then put it where anyone can take it.

The through line is people owning their own stack. Your files on your hardware, your database in a tool that isn't trying to upsell you. I keep most of it free because that kind of infrastructure should be.

Free for you still costs me hours, hardware, and certificates. Sponsorship covers those, and every funded hour goes into fixing issues, writing docs, and cutting releases.
