Find in files, not all occurrences found

I don't get all occurance of a string when using the "find in files" search in Spyder 6.1.3

Sometimes I don't get a single occurance even though the string exist in at least one file,.

I am comparing the results I get using spyder 6.0.7. The search seems to work in that version.

Hey @FredrikSandquist, thanks for reporting. Please post a simple example of a file (or set of files) for which this problem can be reproduced.

Otherwise, it won't be possible for us to understand how to solve it.

I can see what I can do but I recognized the problem in a folder with hundreds of files and I am not sure if I can find a simple set of code files where the problem can be reproduced. Showing all my work code is of course no option.

I understand that, but without a way to reproduce this we won't be able to fix it.

I can't reproduce that. I added a single occurrence to a file but Spyder can find it as expected.

I tested with a few files and couldn't reproduce it either but it is a problem with the folders I am using. Here is some more information.

If I have one qwerty2 in one file it seems to never stop searching.

If I add one qwerty2. It immediately founds both.

It doesn't found qwerty3 immediately

Then you need to keep trying to find the exact circumstances that generate this problem. Otherwise it won't be possible for us to fix this issue.

I tried exactly that and (as I said above) as I was unable to reproduce your problem. So there must something else going on in your case.

@dalthviz, could you check if you're able to reproduce this problem on Windows?

I see that @FredrikSandquist is using a OneDrive folder, so you should test if that's important too.
