[FEATURE] Mobile ability to turn pages with volume keys

When reading on my phone my hands are resting on the volume keys, which leads to me having to move every time. This slightly disrupts the reading experience

Describe the solution you'd like

Having the option to enable the volume keys as page turners.

The does seem to be one library that could work: https://github.com/hirbod/react-native-volume-manager. The problem I see is that it doesn't look maintained, at the very least no changes for a year.

There is expo-audio, but it looks to be very focused on playback and not general system hookups.

yeah that sadly very much seems to have been left behind.

I have gotten accustomed to this behaviour via the LNReader application which is a MIT licensed project. Aside from seeing that they use expo as well I couldn't find the library they use. Though I had only the briefest of looks.

Edit: Seems like he maintains sth custom to do so. Folder

The link you shared is broken, I think you meant to point to here. It is a tiny file, so maybe a tiny native module could be done without too much effort
