I know there was supposed to be a meeting with KA5 about FIPs and NKR. While NKR is required and FIPs are optional, it is important for me, as a repository system specialist responsible for communicating with repository administrators, that the project provides clear, logical, and consistent instructions to users. Both NKR and FIP have similar aims, so there needs to be some agreement/consolidation between the two efforts for me to communicate to users. I am not aware of the result of that meeting. However, no consolidation is apparent in this first version of the NKR schema.
In my opinion, a minimal level of integration would be to have a field in NKR linking to the repository communities' FIP. I would propose a 0..n cardinality. I think it would be complementary to the repository's documentation.
