Turso vs Tanstack db for realtime dashboarding

I was going to create a demo for myself. But if anyone has worked with live data visualisation with turso or Tanstack db I'd like to know what you experience is like.

Both support IVM. Turso is much bigger due to WASM. But is it much faster?

Would love to see this comparison. Taking a step back, I still don't know how to use real-time subscriptions in turso as a client (see this discussion comment).

For now, I'm guessing IVM is used only to update views, but wouldn't work for querying the data, we'd still need to re-run queries manually when data changes?

Yep, that's a limitation I've found with most local databases. It seems that Tanstack and PGLite can subscribe to changes, but they both have performance issues though.

The most promising database is duckdb, but the WASM size is huge
