It's so frustrating that you can't upload your model file.pt directly into the app and start using your model through the mobile camera especially that this feature was in the app before
Please readd it as soon as you can it was an important and good feature

Totally hear you — losing a “quick import + live camera test” workflow is frustrating, especially if you relied on it.

Current workflow (what is supported today)

At the moment, Ultralytics HUB App is primarily designed to run:

• built-in pretrained models, and
• models that live in your Ultralytics HUB / Ultralytics Platform workspace (i.e., trained/managed on the platform, then previewed in the app). (apps.apple.com)

So instead of importing a local *.pt directly on-device, the expected path is: Upload/Train → Model appears in your account → Open in app → Live preview. (ultralytics.com)

Why direct *.pt import is non-trivial

A raw *.pt is a PyTorch checkpoint and can vary by architecture/version and runtime expectations, so supporting arbitrary local imports inside a mobile runtime tends to create compatibility + safety + performance edge cases (and a lot of “it loads on my PC but not on my phone” situations).

Next step: help us scope the request

To make sure we capture this as a concrete enhancement (and understand what was removed), can you reply with:

1. iOS or Android, and your app version
2. The last app version where you remember “import local .pt” working
3. What you want the end state to be:
   • fully offline local import, or
   • import once → then saved in-app, or
   • upload to HUB from phone storage → then run in app
