There isn't currently. I'm curious what use-case you have for it though. What sort of input for Vector do have that is YAML? Are they logs? Or something else?

I appreciate you being open to the new functionality.
Can you provide me some pointers on where to start? I'm not familiar with the code base.

• feat(stdlib): add new split_path VRL function to split the given path into multiple components #1533 -- a recent PR introducing a new function so you can see the different places that need to be updated
