Preset selections suggestion #4862

Hum... The issue is that from a technical point of view presets are not bound to a device. They are just an easy way to load a bunch of settings. The only thing that is connected to the headphone or speakers is the file name the user decided to use. And the user is free to write the file name in whatever language they want. So for this to have any chance of working in a reliable way the presets would have to have new tags that the user can not touch and that somehow would make that association.
That was way easier to do because the default autoload preset does not care about the kind of hardware. The idea there is just "use this preset for any device that does not have a custom autoload preset". It could be even a virtual device. |

Good morning!
I have a lot of presets configured in my Easy Effects, half of it for my headphones and the other half for speakers.
I suggest a resource to determine the output of all of the presets, and not only the default one like it's possible to configure.
For example: if I plugged my headphones, the panel icon menu will show only the presets I configured for headphones, and when I use speakers the panel icon menu will show only the presets I configured for speakers.
I think it's possible to determine, since Easy Effects already change automatically the default preset when using speakers or headphones.
