I see from other issues here that there is not currently a maintainer/developer for this module, but still I thought I ought to at least record the issue here, as I spent a day stuck on this -- I hope that it's OK.
The basic concern is that it seems the default OpenSUSE Tumbleweed firewalld setup (at least at the moment) is sufficiently restrictive that it blocks both printer discovery and printing with CUPS.
I don't necessarily disagree with that default configuration -- obviously security is important -- but would it be possible for YAST Printer to check if the firewall makes the whole enterprise of detecting printers and/or CUPS printing hopeless and provide some sort of warning to the user? My impression is that the intention of YAST is to make system administration relatively painless even for fairly inexperienced users, but this definitely cost me a bunch of time and consternation even though I've been using Linux for over five years now.
Given the lack of developers, if anyone can let me know that this would be feasible, and desirable by whatever there is of the YAST team, and maybe give just a bit of a pointer of where to look in the code/what tools to use to do something like this (even just improving the message "No printers detected" to "No printers detected, but your firewall settings make detection impossible" when that's the case would be a huge help here), I'd be happy to give it a shot to make an initial PR on this.
