Hello folks, I was using SS fine with x.org but I now have to run my system using Wayland for some of my hardware to work. Since switching I noticed sound switcher's hotkeys have stopped working.
Reproduction Steps
- Log in to debian using the wayland graphics platform
- Load sound switcher
- Assign a keyboard shortcut to any sound output device & port
- Verify the active sound output is any other device / port
- Press the hot key
Expected Behaviour: Assigning a keyboard shortcut should allow that sound source to be set as the primary output when the hot key is pressed.
Actual Behaviour: The pressed shortcut key appears to have no effect on the application and no sound output is changed
Other Notes
Launching SS from the terminal I get:
** (indicator-sound-switcher:186652): WARNING **: 12:19:20.461: Binding 'Tools' failed!
WARNING Failed to bind keyboard shortcut `Tools` to `[('alsa_card.pci-0000_11_00.6', 'analog-output-lineout'), ('alsa_card.pci-0000_11_00.6.13', 'analog-output-lineout'), ('alsa_card.pci-0000_11_00.6.7', 'analog-output-lineout'), ('alsa_card.usb-Razer_Razer_BlackShark_V2_Pro-00', 'iec958-stereo-output'), ('alsa_card.usb-Razer_Razer_BlackShark_V2_Pro-00.13', 'analog-output'), ('alsa_card.usb-Razer_Razer_BlackShark_V2_Pro-00.5', 'iec958-stereo-output')]`
or when trying to bind any button on the keyboard I get:
** (indicator-sound-switcher:186652): WARNING **: 12:21:20.266: Binding 'Delete' failed!
WARNING Failed to bind keyboard shortcut `Delete` to `[('alsa_card.pci-0000_11_00.6', 'analog-output-lineout')]`
I have tried using the solution noted in #125 and while loading the app with x11 doesn't produce errors in the terminal, the behaviour is the same - binding any key and pressing it has no effect.
