[BUG] Input selector not working in Ubuntu 24.04 (noble)

Describe the bug
After using this app for many years in Ubuntu 22.04 (Jammy) and it working very well, I re-installed (not upgraded) my system to Ubuntu 24.04 (Noble) a few days ago.

I re-installed the app using snap (on the previous installation it was from ppa). Today I finally plugged in my USB device and noticed that the input selector is not being changed in the system (output works ok).

To Reproduce

I'm not sure if this is something related to my system in particular, but for me it happens like this:

1 - you open the ubuntu settings, go to the sound tab, leave it open so you can watch the changes in real time
2 - you open the ISS menu (pull down menu at gnome systray), you see two inputs and two outputs (on pair for the internal laptop sound card and another pair for the usb device).
3 - you switch between the output devices and you can see in real time the device is changed in the gnome settings window (this works ok)
4 - you do the same on the input devices and nothing is changed in gnome settings, it is like the operation is ignored. If you want to really change the input device, you need to do it in gnome settings, which then actually changes the input device.

Expected behavior
Changing input should work the same as changing output -- which was previous behavior in previous ubuntu version.

I already looked at snap connections and it does not seem to be the case of a missing one (although not sure). Also, I can test removing and reinstalling from PPA, but from the other but report this does not seem to be packaging related.
