Hoo boy. There's lots of changes here. I think things should be working, and I'll be testing on the corpus of code we've built on
rumqttat Vivint, but I'm definitely no guru withasync/awaitorrumqtt's codebase.Let me know if there are any questions or concerns. It's my job right now to get this upstreamed if possible, so I'll do my best to resolve them quickly!
This PR has a soft dependency on tekjar/mqtt311#2, which is intended to consolidate the dependency tree.
